DR. ZAW WIN THEIN, started Finance and Management studies in 1997. Firstly he took examinations of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and has been awarded the Gold Medallion for achieving the first place in the World and achieved Third level Group Diploma in Accounting (DA) in 1998, Diploma in Principles of Management (DPrM) in 1998 and Fourth level Executive Diploma in Business Accounting (EDBA) in 1999.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting from the Yangon Institute of Economics in 2003. After graduation, he is qualified to attend Certified Public Accountants (CPA – Myanmar) and enrolled at CPA Batch 27. He achieved the Gold Medal and first prize winner awards in for both academic years of CPA examinations and completed Myanmar CPA.
He has completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Lincoln University (USA) in 2010 and his Academic Doctorate Degree in Business Administration (DBA) from UK in 2013. He has completed his ACCA in 2003 and became an Associate member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA – UK) in 2007 and then elevated to Fellow member of the Association (FCCA – UK) in 2012.
In 2012, he has completed Chartered Institute of Management Accounting (CIMA – UK) and then achieved Associate member of the Association (ACMA – UK) in 2013. Also in 2013, he also awarded Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) powered by the resources and expertise of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and CIMA. He has been elevated to Fellow member of the Association (FCMA – UK) in 2015.
In 2013, he also became a fellow of Association of Business Executive (UK) and a member of Certified Public Accountants, CPA – Australia. In 2014, he became a Chartered Manager from Chartered Management Institute (UK), and awarded CMgr MCMI designation and in 2015, he is elevated to a Chartered Fellow Manager and awarded CMgr FCMI. In 2015 also, he continued his continuous learning with Chartered Banker MBA from University of Bangor (University of Wales, UK) and Chartered Banker Institute (UK). In 2015, he became a member of Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI – UK), and awarded MCSI designation. In 2016, he has been elevated to Chartered Member, and awarded Ch MCSI designation.
He has more than 18 years of Academic experience working as lecturer in Finance, Banking, Taxation, Accounting, Auditing and Management subjects for LCCI, Dip IFR, CPA, CFA, CISI, CIMA and ACCA programmes. He is also a trainer of MYOB Computerised Accounting software. He has more than 12 years of professional experience working as system auditor, internal auditor, and assessor for software development, corporate trainer and corporate consultant.
He sets up his own training centre for LCCI, FIA, ICM, CPA, CFA, CISI, ACCA, and CIMA courses since 2008 as ZAW Business School which is also one of the leading tuition providers for Professional Finance, Accountancy, Investment and Management Courses in Yangon, Myanmar. He is the principal cum founder of the School.
He is also a visiting Professor for the Master of Banking and Finance, MBF Programme from Yangon University of Economics and is providing lectures for the course of Financial Reporting and Analysis, Portfolio Management, Financial Crises and Bank Regulations.
He is a Managing Partner of ZAW Business Consulting and provides many types of Professional services such as Corporate Training, Accounting & Internal Control System Set up, Investment Advice, System Audit, Organisational Development Consultancy and ERP implementation, etc.
He has provided Corporate Training and Financial Consultancy to many overseas and local companies. Currently, he is now working as a Corporate trainer and Financial Consultant for reputable companies.
